The furniture series comprises four different benches that can be configured together in various ways in the exhibition space and the social spaces. The furniture’s asymmetrical form stands in contrast to the museum’s orthogonal architecture and right-angle rooms. The aim was that the sitting benches would inspire conversation and serve a social function rather than become objects for mere viewing or passive sitting. Even the back support of the bench is made for sitting. The furniture is made of lacquered steel and leather.
